Inspired: Scandinavian echoes

Shareen Joel started her own company in 2003 following her employment with Ford Motor company. With a a passion for pushing conceptual and experimental design, her influence is notable within the design world and has led to her inclusion within notable international exhibitions including an invitation to lecture at the prestigious Beckmans School of Design in Stockholm.
Her work is characterized by an allegiance to simplicity, balance, elegance and proportion and the credo that all her projects must become an integral part of the environment for which they are intended.
The colours and the materials chosen for this residential project in Australia echo the interiors of modern Scandinavian houses, with their shades of grey, white and black together with naturally treated wooden pieces.
