Design: Crossed patterns for home

Pia Wallen is a Swedish designer famous worldwide and the Cross blanket above is probably her most iconic project. It is actually related to the Crux Blanket which was born in 1991, becoming quickly a must-have for any Scandinavian design lover (me included but just a few years later). This new version is made of organic cotton and - thanks God I' want to say - much cheaper than the original Crux blanket. The pattern was chosen by Pia by the values, that a cross represents. In Swedish folk art tradition, the cross is a strong symbol for hope. Is there anything better to WISH YOU ALL A MARVELLOUS NEW YEAR'S  BEGINNING?

Other images are Pia Wallen's Cross tray, Cross blanket display inspiration, Plus Signs wallpaper by UrbanWalls and a DIY, perfect for cool nurseries or any Scandinavian addict! The Cross Blanket is available at Storynorth webshop, where I'll order mine as soon as my pocket will allow me! Happy brand new week!
