Black White and Gold interiors

This apartment is on sale at Stadshem: are places like these available only in Stockholm? I start to think so! The place is stunningly decorated at a point you wonder who is the stylist behind it. The high stucco ceilings are beautiful. I love the way they used the colour palette, a black+white base with golden accents, declined in different way throughout the flat. My favourite spot is the bedroom with the beautiful black wall and the big window, in front of which is the small studio space. And what about to the industrial light: doesn't it look similar to the one from Ikea, the PS2012 one? I'd like to try the DIY!

  1. I've always wondered why French (or Italian) real estate agencies never have these kind of apartments for sale. What you can find are places way too old, dirty, with no style at old and hardly any design, and with lots of renovation work to do ... Anyway this place is definitely stunning ... wonder why they sell it ;-) xx

    1. Ilaria, I could not agree more.

I've been renting flats in Italy, UK and Spain and never found even a decent picture that could help me understood the space. Though I'm far away from been a stylist, last year our landlord asked if I could take some pictures of the flat we were moving out in order to post them in the web. Well, it took me one whole day to clean and arrange everything, take the pictures and photoshop them a bit.. At the end, he used those he took 3 years before with the laundry hanging in the living room. Orgoglio ferito, I suppose! ;)

  2. Are black walls having are come back? I start liking black floorings again depending very much on the space itself but struggle with walls. They do a lot of home staging in Sweden before selling their apartments, houses, etc. That's probably you wonder who was the stylist behind...

    1. Hi Gudy,

thank you very much for your comment!

I've always been attracted by the contrast of black and white and I love the graphic effect black walls have in interiors. On the other side, I think they work well only in large, airy rooms. I prefer to use black paint small portions, especially at my place were rooms are quite small.
I'm always very impressed by the way they present flats in Sweden: do you think this would not work in Barcelona? Crisis aside..
