Christmas at home

If you have been following fnwg for a while, you must remember the Xmas mood board I made a few week ago (if not, you can find it here). I always loved the Season but this year, after loads of Christmas decorations for the shop in Italy, my overdose had reached its climax. I still wanted to create a cosy, wintery atmosphere where white shades could mix with neutral tones and natural elements. But I really needed something minimal.

This is a spot of our bedroom after the decoration session. It's simple but make me feel so bright and warm inside...

Many thanks to Deborah Beau of Kickcan and conkers for the lighting tip!

Monday Crush | Christmas wishlist

Very few days left for Christmas and I couldn't resist to compile my wishlist for this Monday Crush: Aiaiai tracks headphones available at Cos ; Hope CSA vase in grey; New Balance trainers ; Scribbles silk screened textiles by Alex Quisite ; &Tradition Hoof Table SW1 by Samuel Wilkinson.

Have you already made yours?

Xmas green

Elle Decoration Christmas issue is all about green this year, with painted walls to small conifers and accessories. Soft brown tones and copper accents add that twist to the inspiring collection of ideas for the upcoming festive season. My favourite detail is the dark green wall that works as a perfect background for the glittering decorations of the Christmas tree.

Monday Crush | Xmas mood

During these last few days, I spent some time surfing the net in search of xmas images: I'm working on a project for work and I also developed a pinterest board for the Marimekko giveaway hold at Emma Design Blogg. By Sunday night I was suffering from the sweetest overdose of Xmas inspiration! So, I thought to pick some of my favourite images and share them with you for this Monday Crush: hope you will enjoy the Season mood...

Xmas #1

Though there's still more than a month to Christmas, now it's the time to start doing some nice home made decorations. Annaleena Leino has just published this diy for a new candle holder: a minimal, elegant composition in white an copper. To see full instructions, please visit her blog here.

Our minimal Xmas decorations

We are so late with our Xmas decorations I feel I'll manage to get them done and it will be the 24th of December already!  I've been a fan of Chistmas projects since I was a child, so the idea to make a diy Xmas came out quite easily: I decided for minimal paper decor and here they are my first stars! It was meant to be an experiment by re-using the black paper I had at home but I like it so much ... I'm such a black and white addict ...
Here it is the link for the tutorial I used to make the paper stars.

I've just spotted these beautiful pictures taken by Swedish photographer Petra Bindel for Elle Interior Sweden. The image above is like my ideal Xmas room ..
